As I hastily reported last month, Saints Row: The Third suddenly became one of my most anticipated games of 2011 seemingly by no longer giving a shit. There’s no more punches being pulled, very little restraint, and quite frankly it looks like its embracing everything a true "sandbox" game should be - logistics and realism be damned!


 

So now that it’s balls-out, wonderfully juvenile approach has my full attention, I’m totally bummed to admit I’m not up on just about anything that went down in Saints Row 2. Luckily, lead writer Steve Jaros is walking your through the recent "Power" announcement trailer, and his commentary will shed some insight on recent events and bring Steelport newbs up to speed.

    Steve Jaros is now one of my favorite dudes in gaming. Can we just fast-forward to November, please? I want my SR:T3 fix.

    Saints Row was flawed and buggy. Saints Row 2 was better, and a lot of fun, if still very ropey. What I've seen gameplay wise of Saints 3 looks polished, fun and just generally awesome! Can't wait.

    I was hooked when they showed the trailer of the guy getting hit in the nuts.

    I ignored Saints Row also until I saw the SR3 gameplay trailer, and immediately bought SR2. It is soooo fun! The graphics are a small step down from GTA:IV, but the gameplay is much more to my liking. This is the GTA sequel I've been dying for!

    I picked up SR2 just for the campaign coop and fell in love with the game and I've been excited for Saints Row 3 since they announced it.

    hunh... i uh... i feel bad in saying i've ignored saints row all this time. but this seems really strange. not what i thought it was. hmm... seems worth it.

    Cannot wait for this. Awesome video to go breakdown the video, every little bit of news on Saints Row 3 makes me yearn for it more!
