Saints Row: The Third trailer puts Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 in its sights

Games like Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3 take themselves seriously. Games like Saints Row: The Third, however, do anything but. To drive this point home - and further distinguish itself from the massive amount of games coming out this fall - Volition has released a new trailer for its Saints Row sequel poking fun at its EA and Activision competitors and reminding us never to screw with dudes in chipmunk costumes.

Other games have taken on the Call of Duty series in their attempts to come out swinging. You may recall Bulletstorm's marketing folks taking a similar stab at Activision with its fully playable mock game Duty Calls. If not, mayhaps this classic trailer will jog your memory:

Saints Row: The Third is scheduled to launch with a bazillion other high profile titles next month on November 15th in North America, and November 18th in Europe.

I love how litigious the BF3 music at the end is. They changed what, 1 note?
