Irrational Games has announced that upcoming BioShock: Infinite DLC will take players back to Rapture in an all-new story set before the fall of the underwater city. Titled 'Buried at Sea', the two-part campaign add-on sees Infinite’s lead characters Booker and Elizabeth return to the setting of the original BioShock and its sequel. There’s no confirmed release date, but a trailer for the content can be viewed below. The Buried at Sea campaigns will be available individually for £9.99 (1200 Microsoft Points).

Irrational also launched the first BioShock Infinite DLC today. Dubbed 'Clash in the Clouds', it features 60 challenges set across four new areas of Columbia and provides players with the opportunity to access new Voxophones and Kinetoscopes. It’s priced at £3.69 (400 Microsoft Points) and is also shown in a trailer below.

All of the DLC announced today is included in the BioShock Infinite season pass. Irrational creative director Ken Levine said of the DLC: "We are really excited to offer our fans the content that they have been asking for. With Clash in the Clouds, people get a pure action experience that takes BioShock Infinite combat to its highest challenge and intensity level. With the Burial at Sea episodes, we are building a Rapture-based narrative experience that is almost entirely built from scratch."

Rapture is looking extremely sexy. Elizabeth is looking just as sexy. They're really going to town with the many-worlds, infinite possibilities thing here. It's fantastic.

I'm kinda looking forward to this. I love the Rapture setting but I hated the clunky gameplay in the original so it'll be nice to return to Rapture with tighter controls and better gunplay. Loving the Phil Marlowe/femme fatale vibe of the characters as well. Playing as Elizabeth should be interesting. On the other hand, it's a shame that they've created such a rich world as Columbia only to return to Rapture again through DLC for a mostly unrelated game. I was hoping more for some Columbia back stories.

Here's what bothers me. The season pass goes all the way to March 2014. But by then, the Xbone and PS4 will probably be out, and with those not backwards compatible how would people even play the DLC. Then again this is assuming they will all either keep their 360's and PS3's or at least in my case, with trade their 360/PS3 for the new system, making the games obsolete.

Uhh, see, nobody playing on the PC is concerned with this "problem" you've brought up. :) Then again, nobody on PC is going to be playing GTA V for awhile, so... ***sigh*** you win some, you lose some, I guess.

If the last two resemble Minerva's Den.....we are in for a real treat. MD was one of the most satisfying DLC I have ever played. So much friggen content.

Not what I had in mind--I really want more Songbird and Boys of Silence and stuff--but Booker is a great protagonist and Rapture is one of if not my favorite game location, so this is great. I just hope they're looooong.

That's a pretty awesome idea for DLC, though by the time both episodes come out I probably won't have the game anymore, oh well.

I'm excited, I'll be happy to see what Rapture was like before hand.

Sounds good, I was waiting for DLC before I replayed the game, and the Rapture one looks great, glad I got the pass.

Ooh, I always wanted to see Rapture before the fall! Booker and Elizabeth donning film noir personas for the trip is just gravy.

Not bad, pretty interesting concept I'll say that. Im already probably half way through the game, damn Backlog.

This looks like exactly what I wanted from any Infinite DLC. As much as I normally hate meme cliches, Irrational can just shut up, and indeed, take my money! :D

The combat stuff probably isn't for me, but revisiting Rapture very much is. I like it.

    My thoughts exactly.

    Yes. Yes. Very yes.
