RadioRadar Podcast 004: Ground Zeroes Judgment

Not much in the ways of new releases this week, but there is still plenty to talk about! New games were revealed at PAX, and we decided to discuss all of it. That's right, ALL OF IT! Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes? Talked about. Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII? You'd better believe we talk about it. The absurd racism of Lococycle? Oh yeah. We talk about it. We also give stuff away, so you'd better prepare your ears for an audio attack you can't even be remotely prepared for.

You can download it below, or click the iTunes link to jump over to the spot where you can subscribe.

Mech combat brawler based off of Gurren Lagann. I'd imagine being able to aim and slam your drill into other mechs would be awesome. Also drilling into allies to combine with them and get more and more powerful as you combine. Maybe even some sniping sections as Yoko. It would be a great subject for a game because of how the battles in the show are super over the top and just get bigger and bigger as they go. xbox 360

I would love to see a Tailspin game in the same vain as Crimson Sky was. Tail spin had a great cast of characters and I loved the airplane. #teamdaffy System: xbox 360

And I have a question about this Podcast episode. What is the song that plays during the developer interview? It's so familiar but I can't figure it out!!
  • GR_TomMagrino - September 11, 2012 3:25 p.m.

It's from the Binding of Isaac soundtrack
  • JasonSic - September 11, 2012 8:16 p.m.

Really? I've never played that, yet I know the song. Do you know the specific song title?

A game based on the fabulous Adult Swim cartoon: Metalocalypse. You would play as a trusty Klokateer. But, don't worry. If you die, another Klokateer will take your place. Your only objective: Keep Dethklok alive. The game will feature events from the TV series, but at a completely different angle. Little did Dethklok, or you, know that during the episodes of Metalocalpyse, there has been many moments where Dethklok was in immediate danger of being killed! This is all behind the scenes of course, never shown on TV. But, why has Dethklok never been hurt? Because you, the trusty Klokateers, always manage to stop any danger just in the nick of time. Before each mission, you are briefed in Mordhaus by the projection of Face Bones. Next, you head to the armory, where you have the option to buy and upgrade a bunch of high-tech weapons. Be sure to bring the appropriate weapons for the current mission. Missions may involve: - High Speed chases by car or aircraft. - Killing an assassin before he kills Dethklok. - Standing guard during a concert. - Beating up Dr. Rockso. - Keeping those crazy fans at bay! - Much More! After each mission. You'll see a short video of "Dethklok Minute", with the host briefly going over the outcome of your mission. Finally, you wait in line with all the other Klokateers, patiently awaiting your paycheck from Dethklok's manager, so you can proceed to by more weapons/upgrades for the next mission. Oh, and the best part, this game is co-op. Even local split-screen! Original Soundtrack by Dethklok. P.S. PS3 Please

I want an open world third person action game based off of the teen titans cartoon. You could play as all the different characters which have vastly different play styles! Robin would obviously be the brawler, Cyborg would be the run and gun tear stuff to pieces guy, Starfire could fly and throw her energy balls every where which would be awesome! and then you have raven who would be the mage/rouge class with all kinds of awesome powers. And beast boy could just transform into animals and stuff! It would be awesome! Throw in levels, skill trees, 5 player coop and awesome appearances of characters like Red X and Terra! Plus you have tons of missions already laid out for you! If I win I would really like a 360 copy by the way.

I would play a PC point and click adventure game based upon Daria. (I think one may already exist, but I'd play a new one if they were to make it)

This place is better than Giant Bomb, I think I'll make it my new home

I would love to see a game on the CGI cartoon Action Man. I loved that show. Building up a power meter that you then unleash with his motto "Amp it Up". Crazy extreme sports, and fun support characters. It would be awesome. (XBOX 360)
  • Jdub9064 - September 6, 2012 11:33 p.m.

I would love to see a co-op game based on the Young Justice cartoon networks show. You play as all the young super heroes but get assists and super double team moves from all the grown up characters. Think of it as a not terrible Marvel Ultimate Alliance scaled down a bit to focus on a more fleshed out storyline and a much more involved fight system. Xbox 360
  • codystovall - September 6, 2012 7:42 p.m.

I forgot to put what system(xbox 360) so ill just say it again, Invader Zim. The series could finally conclude in videogame form and play in the same vein as destroy all humans with regard to zim, gir and dib would play differently of course. Both the darkness and the comedy of the show would be great if executed properly and even if they just make certain episodes playable such as dark harvest where youd go around the school and snatch people batman/predator style and steal organs from them, that would be awesome. Id really like to win transformers as I really want it and have no cash right now. Know that if Im picked Id greatly appreciate it.
  • Goldeneye007 - September 6, 2012 7:40 p.m.

I would turn the old nicktoons show Kappa Mikey into a video game. The show is mainly about a clash of cultures so why not make an rpg that's part JRPG and part Western RPG, could be a lot of fun.
  • Spieg89 - September 6, 2012 7:30 p.m.

I would love to see a video game based on a new Cartoon Network show called Regular Show. It is such a crazy over the top cartoon I could see it making for a really fun open-world game Ala Brutal Legend. And the guys who make the show are clearly super into games. Especially since one of the episodes has two of the characters entering into a contest for a Power Glove knock-off.

I would do a game based on The Real Ghostbusters cartoon. I really enjoyed the current gen Ghostbusters game that came out but I would stay clear of the 3rd person action game. Instead I would do a SimCity style of game where you have to build up the Ghostbusters Franchise and spread Shops around the city and into neighboring cities as well. Item management, store management, upgrade systems, sending out teams to hunt ghosts, the whole nine yards. I'd keep to the the stylized cartoon look that it was in the old show. I think that would be interesting thing to try
