RadarPlays - Catherine

Shares

Love is grand--until it involves dodging murderous mutant babies and crazy, stab-happy witches. Atlus' only current-gen game, Catherine will test your puzzle-solving mettle and morality alike. Do you continue dating Katherine, your long-time girlfriend who wants to get married? Or do you hook up with Catherine, a young, seductive, carefree woman? Choose wisely--your decisions will have some dire consequences (assuming you're able to survive the timed puzzle sequences, that is).

Want to hang out with GamesRadar's editors while taking a look at retro games, new releases, and totally random experiences? RadarPlays is for you. Mondays we'll be checking out blasts from the past on RadarPlays Retro, Wednesdays we change things up to whatever we feel like playing with RadarPlays Shuffle, and Friday is packed with the strangest titles you’ve never (hopefully) heard of in RadarPlays Freaky. We'll also release RadarPlays for all the new releases, so be sure to check back!

I want to hug whoever came up with the idea for using arrangements classical music for the game's soundtrack.

The main thing I took from this video is that...well, I sure hope you guys were joking about not knowing what Pinnochio was; I find it hard to believe it was just Henry who remembered the part concerning the donkeys. Although even him referring to it as "Disney's Pinnochio" rubbed me the wrong way. The donkey part is in the original too, and IIRC the "cure" involves jumping into a river and letting the rocks dash away all your flesh to the bone. I think I'd rather be pushing blocks, y'know?

The true "bad" ending or whatever you want to call it (making all the negative choices) was AMAZING. I struggled through this game, nearly quit at the ending, but man oh man did it pay off in the best way possible when I got that ending.

The still for the video was Catherine (the "fun-loving" one) eating pizza while cheese, somehow, dribbled down her breasts and congealed on her tongue. Then I remembered EXACTLY what this game was about.
