It was recently announced that Bungie's next shooter, Destiny, will require an internet connection in order to play, the studio confirmed at a press event. The 'Shared World Shooter' will require a permanent online connection to power its persistent, emerging world, the studio stated."It's a persistent, shared and connected world, so you will need to be connected to the internet to play Destiny."Destiny - which publisher Activision calls the world's first shared-world shooter - is built around co-op play and will include elements which are familiar to the massively multiplayer online genre (MMO), such as a persistent world, areas packed with players and quests designed to challenge sizeable groups.Destiny was confirmed for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but the studio would not confirm a release on next-gen platforms, or PC.

The images that come up as you talk about the different things is a nice touch. Whoever is doing the editing deserves a medal.

Oooh! most varied Radar Reacts cast so far! XD And well- honestly, this doesn't sound like my cup of tea at all. Halo wasn't, and hearing how this seems to be more multiplayer and community focused does nothing to make me feel any real excitement for it. The concept art sure is purty though.
