Looks a lot sharper but doesn't sacrifice the original games art style. The work of Bluepoint Games, I presume?

Looks cool, cel shading similar to Wind Waker Not the same tho Unique!

I put my hand over the part of the screen that told me what version I was watching. Couldn't tell the difference. C'mon Gdar, upgrade your video player.

I like how it looks, but its certainly not the huge upgrade that Capcom themselves were trying to claim when they intentioally ran filters in their comparison video. (Their version of the PS2 footage was made to look faded and grey.)

Can someone explain to me how they do the conversion from 4:3 to 16:9? I've never understood that aspect of HD remakes. (haha unintentional pun.)

They basically tell the game engine to render the extra bits around the edges. It's simple enough really, a lot of old PC games have widscreen patches made by amateurs at home, e.g. Baldurs Gate 2, Freespace 2 etc. The data is there, just tell the game to show it.
