Naughty Dog's Last of Us team ditched eight months of work on Uncharted 4

UPDATE: Nolan North's also confirmed The Last of 2 by the sounds of things.

Naughty Dog scrapped eight months' worth of work on Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, actor (and voice of Nathan Drake) Nolan North told an audience at Metrocon last week. When asked by an audience member if the story for Uncharted 4 had changed since series lead writer Amy Hennig left development, North nodded. "I can't really say too much about that," he said, pausing briefly. "But I will."

"We had shot eight months of her story. And it was all thrown away," North continued. "The Last of Us guys came in, and you have to understand, new producers, new people, they want to do it. I don't know what happened exactly. Amy is still a very, very dear friend of mine, and she's brilliant, but The Last of Us guys were the next team there so they took over and they just wanted their own flavour. They got rid of some of the other people that were involved and just redid their thing."

North went on to say that he thinks the tone for Uncharted 4 will be different from previous games in the series, but that the new direction is still "true to the story." North also addressed what Hennig has been up to since her departure from Naughty Dog; an unannounced Star Wars game from EA and Visceral Games that will be "along the same lines" as an Uncharted game.
