Mortal Kombat takes it outside for PS Vita trailer

Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios have ramped up the promotion of Mortal Kombat for PlayStation Vita with a little help from dubstep star Skrillex. Tap along to the beat as your favorite MK fighters take it to the streets, libraries, and offices in the newest gameplay trailer:

Mortal Kombat for the PS Vita will feature the complete single player campaign from the PS3 original, along with all the system's exclusives and most recent DLC. More than a port, the portable version will sport all new PS Vita controls, making using of the handheld's touchscreen controls and accelerometer both in battle and in the new PS Vita Challenge Tower stages.

For better or worse, Mortal Kombat's multiplayer matches will be somewhat limited. In an earlier interview with the US PlayStation Blog, NetherRealm's Ed Boon said this was done to ensure a solid game overall, explaining, “We tried to put all the main things that people would want to do for hooking up with other players online; you can fight one-on-one whether you’re in local Wifi or online [infrastructure] Wifi. There aren’t any eight-player online fighting modes, though, and we aren’t supporting four players in one match. Our focus was getting the core fighting gameplay and Wifi battles as solid as possible.”
