World's first sci-fi movie gets new score

The first ever science fiction movie has been given a modern makeover with a brand new soundtrack. Cyberspace musician Threetails has added his own beats to Georges Méliès' 1902 silent film A Trip to the Moon ( Une Voyage dans la Lune ) as "a music video for my own experiments in electronic music".

Threetails says, "the music is inspired by a number of artists from the early days of electronica, including Kraftwerk, Vangelis, and even Rick Wakeman". See if you can spot the the musician's influences when you watch Moon: Redux at Boing Boing . The site also features a link to the film with a more conventional score.
