After years of enjoying massive popularity on everything from laptops and home computers to consoles and cell phones, it looks like Minecraft is finally headed to Wii U. A listing for Minecraft: Wii U Edition was spotted on European ratings board PEGI's website, and it indicates the game will be available ... today, actually.
A Nintendo Direct presentation (a small-scale digital conference event aimed at fans, and the first since former president Satoru Iwata's passing in July) will be held later today, at 2 p.m. Pacific/10 p.m. UK. It seems likely that we'll learn more about the Nintendo version of the do-what-you-want sandbox game of block people and exploding green monsters then.
