For such a talented comedy writer and director, Mike Judge has had some of the worst luck in movies. His cult comedy Office Space was dumped by Fox, which told him he should be making more commercial films. He made Idiocracy, a satire about the future (and the present) that was more commercial. It was, er, dumped by Fox.
Now he’s going indie, rounding up Jason Bateman and returning to the office environment, but focusing on the boss instead of Office Space’s disgruntled employees. He’s talking up the film to MTV and we really hope he catches a break this time…
