Limited-edition Oblivion commemorative re-release on the way

Do you love (and yet not own) Bethesda's 2006 classic, Oblivion – inarguably one of the finest games of its generation? Are you looking forward to the sequel, Skyrim? Do you often offend the honor of 19th-century gentlemen? Then has Bethesda got a deal for you: a strictly limited re-issue of the Game of the Year version of Oblivion, containing among the requisite extras a $10-off coupon for Skyrim. Also, it's packaged in a sturdy steel book which can easily be hidden under your shirt or coat for a surreptitious, potentially life-saving advantage in your next pistol duel.

Because the version of Oblivion included is the Game of the Year package, it also comes with both proper-sized expansions: Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine. The bonus bits and pieces from the original Special Edition – a full-color map and “Making Of” DVD – are also included, as well as a trailer and discount voucher for
Skyrim. The package will be released for $29 on June 28 for all three platforms: as numbers will be strictly limited, it may be worth checking around to find a retailer who can secure you a pre-order. Try to avoid engaging in fighting talk with mustachioed, pistol-toting dandies until that time.

Have already bought Oblivion twice (First copy got stolen), but shall I buy it a third time. Oh Bethesda, you fucked my social life
  • Letter11 - May 25, 2011 12:24 a.m.

This is great for me, I've actually never had the chance to play Oblivion.
  • Gameguy94 - May 24, 2011 10:34 p.m.

Wow ten dollars off skyrim? and its $30? Good job Bethesda!
  • TyrannosaurusTexMex - May 24, 2011 9:44 p.m.

I have over three hundred hours in this game, without playing the expansions. I shit you not. This will be a good excuse to play them although.

Anyone know where to get this in the uk?
  • Helios - May 24, 2011 7:42 p.m.

I just might get the PC version of this. I have the GOTY version for Xbox 360, but I only got it for that because I knew my computer couldn't handle it. Now that I have a new computer, I just might get this.

This is amazing. I (well, actually it was my dad without my permission) lent my copy to his girlfriend's son. I doubt I ever get that back. This would look great on my shelf. I think $29 is a fair price to pay for such an amazing item and game, especially since it includes a $10 off coupon for Skyrim. That is awesome.

The Oblivion/Bioshock bundle was indeed fantastic! I've already got multiple copies of Oblivion, BUT, I will definitely be getting this! : )
  • Forrest22x - May 24, 2011 5:42 p.m.

I just bought the Oblivion/Bioshock Bundle...... Though $29 doesn't seem bad....
  • RushLight - May 24, 2011 5:09 p.m.

Dang it... I just bought (or rather my brother did, but I've been hogging it), the Game of the Year edition last year... but that DVD, steel case, and discount are slightly tempting.
  • shadowreaper72 - May 24, 2011 5:09 p.m.

I liked Oblivion but dont feel like playing it again. Ill just wait til Skyrim.
  • Dave3087 - May 24, 2011 5 p.m.

Must own... must own Even if I already played over 100 hours of my original copy.
  • JetpackJesus - May 24, 2011 4:59 p.m.

Already have Oblivion but might shell out for this. I never got the expansion packs and with discount off Skyrim, should be pretty worthy of a re-purchase.
