League of Legends' yearly Halloween celebration makes some minor changes to the free-to-play game to get in the holiday spirit. Summoner's Rift (the game's main map) gets Halloween decorations, health and mana potions are replaced with candy, and Riot adds a number of limited edition skins to the game. This year, they've dressed up four champions for trick or treating: Haunting Nocturne, Bewitching Nidalee, "Definitely Not Blitzcrank," and FrankenTibbers Annie. If you're interested in finding out more you can check out images of the new skins in-game below, as well as a trailer that shows off the characters' new digs. Don't be scared, though – they're just costumes. It's not really a Frankenstein, just a giant bear dressed as one.
At the time of posting they weren't available, but we've reached out to Riot to find out when we might be able to spend all of our hard-earned money on this free-to-play game. We're on the fence as to whether or not we want them to be Premium Skins (complete with new voicework), mainly because we'd rather have some money left at the end of the year. Then again, hearing the robotic Blitzcrank try to disguise his voice might be worth the $10 price some skins cost.
You can check out the spooky new costumes in-game in the gallery below, and we'll be sure to update this article once we know pricing and release information.
