Levine still pushing for BioShock Vita

You’d be forgiven for forgetting that a BioShock game was announced for Vita way back at E3 2011 when Sony’s portable was still known as NGP, but Irrational Games creative director and co-founder Ken Levine says he’s still pushing to get the project off the ground. Reiterating comments he made in February, when he said getting the project green-lit was down to the business people at publisher 2K Games and Sony, he told fans on Twitter this weekend:

Levine said in February of BioShock Vita: "I've got my fingers crossed that that's going to happen because it's something I want to do, but until somebody starts signing the cheques there's nothing I can do... Hopefully it will come to fruition." Levine has previously suggested that Irrational could outsource development of BioShock Vita. The studio is currently working on BioShock Infinite DLC.

The more systems BioShock is on, the better.

Well hopefully things can get moving with this game because I'm curious to see what they'll do with the vita.

Well... This is certainly not for me. But if they put some real effort into this, it might just be the thing the Vita so desperately needed.
