Really looking forward to this. That being said, I would have preferred a Majora's Mask HD.

I agree. Wind Waker's graphics translate to HD with a lot less work though. Also, I'm willing to bet we'll be getting a 3DS Majora's Mask soon as well. I'm guessing they're saving that announcement for E3.

I've heard a whisper that they'll be announcing a brand new 3DS Zelda title at E3.

Now this is a reason I'd get a wii u, if only there were maybe 3-5 more things I'm interested in for it.

Fantastic news. Still got my bonus edition of Wind Waker on my shelf. Can't wait to play this, looks gorgeous.

HD Tingle... *shudders* At least the gamepad should allow for some sort of Tingle Tuner upgrade.

My eyes are leaking. I wanted this so hard but figured it would be a while before we saw it. What a beautiful Nintendo Direct.

Hmm, cool, although if there is one Zelda game I thought didn't really need a graphical update or remake, it's this one. Oh well.

The best part is that its a full remade game with new models and such as opposed to a simply HD Port. A change in the gameplay experience as they said is interesting, and im anxious what this "New style" they said for the new Zelda is gonna be while we play this game to wait. Keep pumping the news, its been a massive storm

Hopefully "remade" doesn't mean motion controls. I guess I'd be okay with it, but Skyward Sword's motion plus have me some issues. I'm interested to hear more as it gets closer to release.

I dont think its gonna be that way more likely by gamepad, and so far, Nintendoland's Battle Quest actually improved the motion controls, so theres that.

They'll probably put the Tingle Tuner GBA stuff on the Gamepad at least. Although Miyamoto does often sound sad when he talks about the 'rushed' later quest (that I won't spoil for newbies). Perhaps that will see some slight improvements? Pure conjecture there, but it's an opportunity to make it perfect.

That would be...I don't know. But it would be all kinds of it.
  • shawksta - January 23, 2013 8:25 a.m.

Who knows, maybe, otherwise they did say it was to hold us off.

Wow, this is actually pretty sweet. If I had a wii u I would definitely get this no questions asked. But I can't help but feel this is covering up the fact that we probably won't see a completely NEW zelda game on the wii u for quite some time yet.
  • GamesRadarJustinTowell - January 23, 2013 7:16 a.m.

They said about as much. Real Zelda U is a massive project so this should keep us happy in the mean-time.

There is this AND an all new 3DS Zelda in the works too which I'm sure we will see shortly after the Wind Waker remake or maybe even at the same time(Looking at how they did Mario last year with Wii U and 3DS releases), I think the wait will be pretty easy. Sounds like Nintendo has a lot of announcements coming up in future Directs and even bigger ones at E3 (OMG SMASH BROS) . Personally I hope they give us a Majora's Mask or ALTTP remake before releasing the new 3DS installment.

I'm personally already less than impressed with what the Wii U has to offer so they're going to have to come up with something more than a Zelda remake to even get me to consider turning this frown upside down :P
