Kirby 20th Anniversary Collection finally detailed

Kirby's Dream Collection (aka 20th anniversary collection) has finally been detailed after months of silence from Nintendo about the incoming multi-game celebratory package.

According to Andriasang, the package will include six different games which were detailed in the latest issue of Japan's weekly gaming magazine Famitsu. Kirby's Dream Land, Kirby's Adventure, Kirby's Dream Land 2, Kirby Superstar, Kirby's Dream Land 3, and Kirby 64 will all be included.

There isn't yet a 100% reliable release date for this package, but rumors point to July 19 as the date when it will launch. We'll be sure to update this if we do get our hands on a solid date for this package. In the meantime, we'll just hope Nintendo is sane enough to charge a decently low price for this, as we can already download several of these games on Wii.

I've got all but two of those, the first two DL games, so I'm not going to bother picking this up. I don't even like the first Dreamland that much since there's no powers, and if I want to play DL2 again I'll just find a copy. I was kinda hoping there would be more games, like maybe Dream Course or Avalanche or something, but it's a nice collection for anyone who hasn't had a chance to play those games, I suppose.

By Kirby 64 you mean Kirby 64 The Crystal Shards, right?

You know, I was talking to my cousin ROM the other day...

Sadly, this probably won't be worth buying. I already own all but two of those games (DL2, DL3 I don't have).

I was just playing Nightmare in Dreamland a few hours ago. I love Kirby so much. It would be awesome to get this.

Kirby’s Dream Land on the GB was one of my first ever Gameboy games that I owned, I loved that game. If I remember correctly, if you press up, A and select on the title screen it unlocks hard mode. Also is this for the Wii or the 3DS?

6 games, including Crystal shards, thats already better than a port of Super Mario Allstars. Its good for those who havnt used the virtual console.

Well they gave us OoT3D Zelda 1 + 2 for 3DS Ambassadors, Zelda 4 Swords for free on the dsi shop, and Skyward Sword, plus 2 CDS, and a concert there really wasn't a need for it. I do agree though I wish I could get that all as one package, in a nice collector box.

Awesome. And can someone tell me why there was no Zelda 25th Anniversary collection last year?

I guess instead of a collection they released Skyward Sword.

I'm not sure about why they didn't release any sort of collection but Skyward Sword has a little thing on the cover saying "Zelda 25th Anniversary" and it's this nice shiny goldeness, so maybe Nintendo thought that was good enough for a celebration? Plus they did also release a book explaining a lot about the Zelda universe (if I am not mistaken, could be wrong about that) but I think it was only released in Japan ._. I would of really liked a Zelda Collection as well though :<

Also you get the 25 anniversary soundtrack which was nice of them!

Zelda, it was a special celebration, they gave all users something Zelda related in a special way. Zelda 1 and 2 from ambassadors, DSi Zelda four swords, Ocarina of Time 3D, Skyward Sword, the CD's in the special edition and of course the Zelda Concerts. So basically they covered the whole year with different things instead of just 1 anniversary purchase.

Exactly, I think the CD came in all Skyward Sword games, I couldn't tell because I wanted that Wii Remote so bad. Four Swords came out for all DS systems with downloading capabilities, the Estore was riddled with Zelda games, and ambassadors (myself) got 2 Zelda games. They celebrated it quite nicely.

There was one on GameCube! Not "25th Anniversary" but there was a collection.
