Parasite Eve: The 3rd Birthday also on the list, among others

Remember a couple days ago when wereportedon a voice actor saying he was working on an unannounced Kingdom Hearts game, which we thought was called Recoded? Now Square Enix confirmed its existence in a list of the games they%26rsquo;re showing at E3. But how correct were the rumors?

Well the actual subtitle, Re:coded, is a more idiotic than we thought, though it falls in line with the titling of the last remake, Re: Chain of Memories. And our hopes that this would finally take the series to current gen systems were crushed as we saw Nintendo DS listed as the platform. But otherwise, the rumors of it being a remake of the Japan-only, episodic, Mobile game Coded were spot on. The description onthe listmentions the same plot of Mickey and company scouring over Sora%26rsquo;s journal of his travels in the first game, which sounds like it going to be a bit of a rehash of previous levels. We look forward to huddling over a DSi to check this out next week.

The rest of the list was mostly made up of games we%26rsquo;ve been hearing about a lot lately, like Kane %26amp; Lynch 2, Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Final Fantasy XIV, but we were very happy to see The 3rd Birthday for PSP on the list. This sequel to one of our favorite and long dormant PlayStation series, Parasite Eve, hasn%26rsquo;t been seen in awhile and this may be our first chance to see the title in English.

Lastly, what%26rsquo;s absent on this list makes us hope Square Enix has some surprises in store, as Final Fantasy Versus XIII is woefully absent. Perhaps it could be shown at Sony%26rsquo;s press conference, reconfirming the title as an exclusive, or maybe Microsoft will show it off at their event, to publically take another big name title away from Sony. Or is it the most likely case that the game has just been delayed again and we won%26rsquo;t play it until at least 2011? Here%26rsquo;s hoping for even a trickle of info next week.
