JJ Abrams Returns to Mission: Impossible Franchise

Star Trek director and Lost creator JJ Abrams has told TV Guide that he will be producing the fourth Mission: Impossible film.

Abrams, who directed 2006's Mission: Impossible III, says, "I am incredibly honoured that Tom [Cruise] has invited me back as a producer on Mission: Impossible 4. Tom and I have come up with a really cool idea we are pursuing.”

Abrams hasn't, however, committed to directing the fourth yet.
