Video: Inappropriate censorship in Resident ******* Evil

The original Resident Evil has a warning at the start: "This game contains scenes of explicit violence and gore". But it doesn't mention all the swearing. Eh? What's that? You don't remember any swearing in Resident Evil? Well, neither did we. But there's so much of it in there that we've had to bleep it out. Don't believe us? Watch this:

Jill Valentine, master of ****ing.

Ehhh it was ok. I will say good effort, but I think really the issue was that the dialogue is so ***** in the first place. As an example you guys did it much better in your "Is MK VS DCU Really a Porno?" back from '08. Yes that's right I remembered a specific video GR made five years ago, because it was that much mo' betta. http://www.gamesradar.com/is-mk-vs-dcu-a-porno/

OMG I thought the same thing. I still show that video to people till this day. They should do it with just f*****ing games.

There's already a series of videos on youtube called unnecessary censorship, which include Skyrim and Mass Effect, and --I hate to say it-- they're much better.

I love the ending... such a cliffhanger!

I remember buying the "Directors Cut" for RE1 and feeling completely violated upon finishing the game. This game was released when the internet was still relatively "new" so it was shit out rather quietly with little blow back. Had this been released today, Capcom would have had a crisis the likes of Xbone on their hands. Worst double dip in history ever.

I believe Saturn is to blame for that one. It got a port that was mostly superior, save for transparency effects etc. Better backgrounds, blood pools from zombies... so Capcom made the Director's Cut so Sony wasn't left with the worst version. That's my understanding of it anyway. Saturn was also meant to get RE2, but that never happened. Pity.

Damn, this makes me really want to replay this game. That initial zombie reveal is easily one of the most iconic moments in all of gaming. It's sad to think back on how completely unlike every other game on the market RE used to be, compared to the state the franchise is in now with RE6.

I almost lost it after he gave Jill the lock-pick and she goes "thanks, maybe I'll 'bleep' it". LMAO

I think it would be pretty great to hear a bleeped out version of Portal or Portal 2

I thought it was a bit hit and miss but potentially a good feature, especially if you target games where you wouldn't expect to find ANY swearing. An X Rated Kingdom Hearts would be great....

    I feel the same way

potential jokes about Sora ****ing a dog or a duck? might be a bit much for gamesradar.

I don't see why. This is basically a form of innuendo and the beauty of that is it's all the viewers head, if they simply remove words and the people watching mentally fill them with rude stuff, well that's just their own dirty minds at work. And based on things Justin Towell has said in the past, I'm guessing that as well as being from the UK like me he's also roughly the same age and so watched enough things like Carry On films and Are You Being Served in his youth to be well aware of how to get away with this kind of thing ;)
