I really don't want THQ to go away. They've always been the company to try out some of the cooler, odder stuff, Homefront and WWE notwithstanding. It's just to bad they seem to have shot themselves in the foot by trying to be a huge publisher :/

Capcom Darksiders? No. Just look at Asura's Wrath and DmC. No.
  • JamesRadar - January 15, 2012 7:05 p.m.

If Visceral took the creepy games from THQ like Darksiders, Metro, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. they could become the go-to studio for scary games.

    Sega with Warhammer? Yeeaaahhhh...no.
  • kingsmikefan - January 15, 2012 7:16 p.m.

Those are some odd choices. Square for Saint's Row? I could actually see that. SEGA and Activision for...anything? No.
  • RebornKusabi - January 15, 2012 7:18 p.m.

Completely agreed with the Homefront and Saint's Row entries. Also PLEASE MORE RED FACTION!!! I'm kind of being selfish in the desire that this news is true because Red Faction is a goddamn amazing franchise and having the team at Ubisoft do the series in the style of Far Cry 2 is seriously awesome. Making Red Faction into... whatever the fuck it was trying to be in Armageddon was not wise in any sort of way in the same token that making Spencer's bionic arm his wife was- you know, actually both series have much in common: a dumbass, "EXTREME" redesign of whatever made the original series core concept work in a desperate grab for a demographic that doesn't give a fuck about the respective franchises to begin with. What was I trying to say? ... oh, great article, that's what!

I agree with most of theses choices, not sure I'd trust Sega with the Warhammer franchise though... If these rumors are true, I really hope someone picks up the Homefront IP, I enjoyed the first game for the most part and would love to see what Crytek could do with it.

Why wouldn't whoever gets Warhammer keep using Relic to make those games. The studio still exists.
  • Hollander_Cooper - January 15, 2012 7:46 p.m.

They hopefully would. That's why we said that Sega likes to go outside its own stable of developers.
  • TedDidlio - January 15, 2012 7:52 p.m.

    Really well thought out list.
  • GamesRadarMakesMeFeelOLD - January 15, 2012 8:34 p.m.

Why not Sony or Microsoft for any of these titles? Microsoft has their UFC app for pay-for-view and it might make sense to pick up Undisputed. Microsoft also has two Kinect Disney titles. It goes without saying that it would be a drop in the bucket for Microsoft to keep the titles afloat. I guess the question is could there be a return on investment because they do not need to worry about XBOX game attach at this point in it's lifetime. The next Saints Row at 720 launch would sell consoles.

Not bad, Square enix with saintd row, Warhammer with Sega, might just work. Also, a bit of a stretch, but Pixar, Definitly Nintendo, they both want to make memorable stuff for both kids and matures to enjoy.
  • Rubberducky - January 15, 2012 8:46 p.m.

I was looking forward to that Warhammer 40K mmo, now who knows if we'll ever see it :(
  • Redeater - January 15, 2012 8:58 p.m.

It's great to know that you judge 2 games that aren't even out yet. Then again look who I'm talking about. If you were to look up enmity in the dictionary there would be a nice picture of you there. :)
  • MetroidPrimeRib - January 15, 2012 9:26 p.m.

YOU CAN'T JUDGE TRAILERS/GAMEPLAY AS BAD! If I where judging it as good from the trailers, what would that be? Plus there's a demo out for Asura's Wrath and it's fucking terrible QTE-mashing fest.
  • IceBlueKirby - January 15, 2012 9:28 p.m.

If this were true, I'd be all for Squenix getting the Saints Row license. That way they could pass it on to Avalanche and we'd have the ultimate mash-up of Just Cause 2's destruction and Saints Row's craziness. It would easily be the best open world game ever made.
  • quincytheodore - January 15, 2012 9:35 p.m.

Agree on all account, except Saint Row and SE. Yeah, I know they are reaching for western market with Deus Ex, Hitman and Tomb Raider. It's enough. All of these are serious game, SE can't make funny games for shit. When is the last time you laugh playing SE games? I mean real laugh, not sarcastic one.
  • comaqi - January 15, 2012 9:48 p.m.

Fuck everything on that list. I'm concerned for metro: last light!
  • Redeater - January 15, 2012 10:01 p.m.

What the hell are you talking about? I did not understand those first two sentences at all! A little coherence in your in your ranting might help. Besides, does it hurt to keep an open mind? I can think of at least 3 demos I have hated but I ended up loving the full game. You know you don't have to be such a bitter sarcastic asshole all the time. After all, gaming is supposed to be a fun hobby. If you hate it so much why the hell are you on here? I don't go to IMDB and post negative garbage on the Twilight forums. Instead I choose to spend my time on the things I like!
  • CommanderCrunch - January 15, 2012 10:20 p.m.

Most of these are good picks. But I say that darksiders would be a good fit with konami. I think they pulled of castlevania lords of shadow really well. And the two games are fairly similar.
