Full speech: "In my talons, I shape clay, crafting life forms as I please. Around me is a burgeoning empire of steel. From my throne room, lines of power careen into the skies of Earth. My whims will become lightning bolts that devastate the mounds of humanity. Out of the chaos, they will run and whimper, praying for me to end their tedious anarchy. I am drunk with this vision. God: the title suits me well." SHODAN (System Shock)
10/10 – I’ll be honest, SHODAN: things simply don’t get any more terrifying than this. Your haunting, distorted voice delivers each of these lines slowly, savoring them like a fine wine while casually condemning humanity. What’s more, you kind of hit on all the points necessary to qualify as a horrifying villain: promise of death and destruction to humanity, descent into utter madness, omnipotence, and that whole difficult-to-stop thing that keeps people from ever fully being able to defeat you. Well done, SHODAN. Well done.
