With 2017 in full swing, marketing for Marvel and Netflix's The Defenders is ramping up. Three pictures have been released to the public this week, with two of them highlighting half of The Defenders team and one showcasing the big bad, played by Sigourney Weaver. Take a look:
Everyone involved in the production of this highly-anticipated team-up is keeping tight-lipped, so it's hard to infer what's going on in these images. Jessica is chatting to her pal Patricia (who in the comics eventually becomes a Defender herself), Iron Fist is threatening someone in a biohazard suit, and Sigourney Weaver is smiling while looking quite fancy.
We know Weaver will be playing a villain, but she recently told Variety that "everyone I work for will kill me" if she told us anything about her character. So yeah, not a whole lot to go on just yet.
Still, 'tis better to be teased and keep the surprise going until the premiere than to have the whole season spelled out for us. I know I'll be watching for the answers to these mysteries when The Defenders debuts later this year.
