If you're voting for Shephard, you might be an idiot. The MC wins this hands down. Stronger, faster, Cortana makes him smarter. I mean, the MC could sprint at Shepard and it would be over. A 7 foot tall, 1 ton, genetically enhanced, armor wearing, super human, against a dude with some neural implants. C'mon guys.

Also Shepeard can take on living flesh things fine. But flesh isn't metal. 3 inch + steel is a lot harder to move let alone dent than a 9 foot wall of muscle. Granted I will say Shepherd has his advantages as well, I don't think muscles nor weapon prowess is one of them. Shepherd knows 4 weapons, shotgun, pistol, sniper, and rifle. Chief knows a multiple of variants of these weapons and more. Shotguns, pistols, rifles, grenade launchers, snipers, and tons of alien tech as well. We also don't know exactly HOW strong a Krogan is nor how strong the other aliens are in ME nor Halo. It's a tough comparison and you have to go off things that are neutral or found in both series. I still stand by saying Chief has got Shepherd beat in Hand-to-Hand combat at the very least. I mean for fucks sakes he's accidently killed 3 ODST in a boxing ring before he even started fighting The Covenant.

EXACTLY! I'd probably say for sake of continuity go with the basic Soldier Shepard.

Same can be said for Shep. He's pretty soft without his shields. Also Chief is only lone wolf because the other Spartans are "MIA" technically. This is also supposed to be a 1v1 fight, so Shep nor Chief has no team. I'd imagine that means no Cortana as well.

1v1 fight. So.... no, he doesn't. We also don't know how Biotics would affect Chief's shield nor the Gel layers of his armor. It ain't just put on and attach armor like Shep's. It has to be put on and attached to HIM by an entire team of engineers.

Achivements, great. They've both saved their respective "homes". Chief didn't just save the humans, he saved the galaxy. The "Halo Rings" were designed to take out EVERY SINGLE PLANET in the galaxy should the Flood start to spread. They were a emergency measure made by the Forerunners. The Covenant wanted to use them as part of their religion.

Exactly! My ME1 Shepard would get his shit kicked all day and night while my ME2 Shep might put up a pretty good fight.

This is a hard choice. I went for Master Chief, however it was a hard choice. I have played both series and loved both of them. However I chose Master Chief because I like the Halo series just a little bit more.

If you want to bring the team aspect in, pre Halo and Reach MC is the leader of a team of 33 MJOLNIR Armored Spartans. So if we go to team vs team, MC has it hands down. One on One, Chief has reflexes 300% faster than a normal human, if Shepard goes under cover and as much as shows the tip of his/her head, boom head gone. MC was trained from the age of 6, Shepard was probably still playing with his equivalent of legos at that age. Add in vehicles, one shot of a Scorpion tank and any vehicles that the ME universe has would get destroyed. This isn't even a fair fight.

Dude, what? Shepard's team can easily take out a group of a group of Spartans. Team vs Team, they'd lose. Even if what you say is true about Master Chief, it's irrelevant. He doesn't move that fast in the game, plus Shepard can have the same thing. Times seems to slow down, because his/her reflexes are that fast. Vehicles? Sorry but the human tech in halo is not nearly as good at the stuff in MAss Effect. A hammerhead would run circles around a slow Scorpion Tank.

My commander shepherd is my all-time favorite hero, so he got my vote, but damn why did he have to be paired against the Chief. Chief's awesome too (and has an interesting story arc if you pay attention to the books).

What is this crap, we all know as soon as master chief gets close to commander shepard (within a half mile) his head will explode due to the sheer epicness of the orchestrated music accompanying the chief. Also considering Master chief has fallen from space to earth, and just got back up and was like whatever, singlehanded gave the humans exactly what they needed to win the war with the covenant, has the restraint not to try to be sexual with cortana(shepard would have tried to hit that, and I know the chief doesn't have a sex drive, but I had to make that sad little joke), and is genetically altered superhuman with shielded armor. People are obviously voting for favorite, rather than who would actually win.

Basically what I'm getting at is, you give shepard an advantage such as an assault rifle, while chief only has his fists, and chief still wins most of the time.

"Chief isn’t the strongest or most crafty hero, and he isn’t particularly charismatic or intelligent or playful." According to Halo lore, this is all compared to other SPARTANS. Compared to us average schmucks he is a super-strong, crafty, charismatic genius.

Shepard will win because his saga is multiplat while Master Chief is exclusive to the Xbox 360. I voted for Chief, because its obvious, even with biotics, that chief fights more on his own then Shepard and in a one on one fight, Shepard would get his ass kicked.

THE only argument we need for Master Chief to win: Shepard has died once before, Chief hasnt. PERIOD. He died once, what chance does he have against a literal one man army? Chief would punch his face in, literally- Hes genetically engineered to be a badass. GR, make the next one a crew vs crew fight. Borderlands 1 Vault Hunters vs the team from Bulletstorm. That would be an epic battle.

if it was a pure badassery contest Master Chief wins hands down, no argument there. but i chose Commander Shepard for the sole reason that he can gather, command and earn the complete trust of the must badass bunch of teamates ever: Garrus of course, Wrex, Thane, Jack, Tali and so on.
