E3 2012: A musical video tribute to the fact that every bloody game had a bow and arrow in it

Tomb Raider. Crysis 3. Splinter Cell. Assassin's Creed III. Far Cry 3. Disonored. It felt like E3 this year was typified by an abundance of bow and arrow combat. Much like every single game last year was set on a boat, there were so many shots of stretchy string and shooty sticks at E3 2012 that prolonged viewing of the show's trailers would ensure Robin Hood dreams for all.

So our video team have made a megamix paying tribute to the phenomenon. And it's brilliant.

    @A9entOfChaos Huh?! What's with the Hooters hate? His articles have been some of the best, most thoughtful and analytical on this site. IF YOU hate his opinions so much why don't YOU quit and go somewhere else?

    How was every game last year set on a boat? Bow and arrows have always featured a lot in games anyway.

    Dave, all you do is bitch and whine. Go cry somewhere else. I used to like the UK team but you sir are becoming a hipster, panzy ass cry baby. IF you hate the video game industry so much for all the preceived non innovation out there, why don't you quit and do something else?

    He does love the industry; that's why he wants it to change for the better. Many of us mature gamers are quite disappointed by the way the industry has turned out and enjoy discussing it. Mr. Houghton's articles are (usually) a refreshing source of reason, and nearly everyone loves to read them. If you don't like it, try to lighten up or just leave.

    As much as I enjoyed that- I did, I really did- and while you do have a good point (Maybe Bows 'n' Arrows are this years brown/grey waist-high-walls?) A lot of clips from that video did seem a little... irrelevant. I mean, I haven't noticed a single bow OR arrow, let alone both used together as a single killing machine, in ANY Resi 6 OR DmC videos far, and I really doubt they'd be using them in the latest Forza or FIFA- unless they're taking a Motorstorm Apocalypse/ Mario Soccer approach respectively. I like the choice of music, though. That was definitely fitting.
