Someone at work today asked me if I'd seen the new Nintendo console and I said they hadn't shown it yet. He argued that they had and it was the controller thing. A plea to Nintendo, please bring it out in black. I don't want another white box sitting next to all the black gadgets under my TV.

Bloody hell DaveH. You been stealing everybodys lunches?
  • shawksta - June 8, 2011 2:01 p.m.

@8bitbaby From what weve seen we can assume that but there possiblilities of a more powerful hardware we havnt fully seen yet, the HD Zelda tec demo show this and its just the bginning
  • shawksta - June 8, 2011 1:57 p.m.

@leejohnson I understand, its your choice of the games you perfer to play, just respect and dont throw it off, nintendos games are still great and shouldnt be teased. Also dont say fanboys, just say fans, fanboys is more of a bashing word for annoying people.
  • DannyMB - June 8, 2011 1:18 p.m.

Im loving some northern representation at GamesRadar. I have to say I am slightly underwhelmed by this E3. The most excited ive been was when I saw the Skyrim gameplay footage.
  • 8bitBaby - June 8, 2011 1:03 p.m.

yeah i agree nintendo did have a lack of wii talk but i think they are just ready to move on to other focuses. as far as the console. i saw the console while they were doing the conference, it looked like an xbox sorta' but images of it popped up online while the confrence was still going. but i was mostly not bothered that they didnt show it, because i understood that the reality of it is that it's just a console on par with xbox and ps3 now, nothing special about the console the special bit is the controller, that's what will set them apart now that the playing field is level.
  • leejohnson222 - June 8, 2011 12:48 p.m.

no that's fair point shawksta, but that's just my personal view i know there are alot of Nintendo fan boys, for me i just have to move on, i can keep playing mario, or star fox, but that's just me if you and millions of others have fun with these games that cool different strokes, i don't think there are any real M games on a Nintendo system, but again just my view.I like deep immersion from a mature rpg or story driven game, like deus ex, hitman etc.
  • presc1ence - June 8, 2011 12:21 p.m.

Any chance of actually having some written articles this week?
  • shawksta - June 8, 2011 12:14 p.m.

*The guy above me leejohnson Dont say that, nobody *outgrown* anything, dont fool yourself with crap like that, people here are 17 and older(especially gamesradar) and still playing rated M games and nintendo games because the games themself are outstanding regardless of rating.
  • shawksta - June 8, 2011 12:09 p.m.

If anything they made the 3DS wanted more than anything especially with super mario, and luigis mansion 2. As for the WII U, you can see that it has potential especiall with that HD zelda tec demo having beautiful vsuals that outperform standard 360/PS3 visuals and hardware that looks like it will deliver, we just need to be patient, Smash bros. Is coming, amd we havnt seen this consoles full potential.we just need to play the waiting game. Cundy you were awesome nd have short hair!
  • leejohnson222 - June 8, 2011 noon

have to say i felt e3 2011 was a little under whelming overall, sorry guys i dont care what nintendo brings out im not 12 years old anymore, just cant keep playing the same games over and over, good for families but ill pass, nintendo take risks with hardware but never with software, so old stuff for 3ds, wii, wii U even if hardcore games came out for the wii U im not gonna buy anything else with Nintedo on it. no real megaton bombs this year, everything was leaked this year.
  • jackthemenace - June 8, 2011 11:47 a.m.

@potogHippoPus- I'm guessing it's either a wig, or the E3 interviews were (God Forbid) Filmed before E3 (BLASPHEMY!). That, or he just borrowed some of Towellys.
  • Teve0rz - June 8, 2011 10:44 a.m.

Cundy on the intro makes me laugh, every single time. i wish i was as cool as he is.
  • Poffle - June 8, 2011 10:27 a.m.

Cheers guys. I think you should do all your podcasts as videos. Look forward to listening to the proper one later. Nice to see you got in on time today, Dave.
  • PotOfHippoPus - June 8, 2011 10:21 a.m.

Now Cundy's hair is short again, he's like some sort of human Play Doh Fuzzy Pumper Barber.
  • MattCrinos - June 8, 2011 10:20 a.m.
