Dead Rising 2: How to make Chuck Greene look ridiculous

The clock is ticking. Zombies are everywhere, your daughter needs her medicine, and you have a limited amount of time to clear yourself of murder charges before the military arrives. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take some time to make Dead Rising 2’s Chuck Greene look as ridiculous as possible.

At least, that’s what Capcom seems to be hinting at with their recently announced plans for a staggered release of Dead Rising 2 DLC Theme Packs over the next few weeks. The DLC packs will be available for download via Xbox LIVE and PSN – and will include new skills, weapons, and hilariously horrible outfits for the game’s protagonist.

You can read the official descriptions of the perks for each outfit from Capcom below:

Psychopath Theme Pack: Available October 12, 2010
Psycho Chuck will be a zombie’s worst nightmare as his new “insane” look will make him more difficult to kill and give him a host of gruesome weapons including chainsaws, cleavers, axes and more. Zombies won’t stand a chance!

Soldier of Fortune Theme Pack: Available October 19, 2010
With the soldier costume, you can “Rambo out” with double ammo, increased shooting accuracy, more firepower and increased headshot accuracy.  Chuck will also have a new special attack when using automatic weapons, spraying zombies with a hail of bullets.

Sports Theme Pack: Available October 26, 2010
For all you sports fans out there, this pack’s for you. Chuck’s damage will increase with sports-themed weapons. The new sports weapons (golf balls, basketballs, etc.) bounce more before stopping, allowing you to hit tons of zombies in one throw.  Chuck also has a new charge/tackle attack for taking zombies down in the ultimate blitz!

With the Sports Theme Pack, Chuck will also earn more from gambling, gain more health while eating and drinking (especially alcoholic drinks) and not get sick from drinking too much…

Ninja Theme Pack: Available November 2, 2010
Ninja Chuck will have a new “stealth mode” where the zombies have to be much closer to him to detect his presence. This gives Chuck the upper hand as he is harder to grab and be taken down by hoards of the undead.

Chuck’s damage is increased with sword-type weapons (broadswords, katanas, etc.) that have new special attacks. Stackable items and throwing items (nails, plates, gems, etc.) will also do more damage and Chuck’s throwing speed is increased.

The costume packs for the first game were free, so i hope these are too

Capcom does seem to have a little bit of trouble wrapping their heads around the whole "DLC" thing. The way i see it, i'll be getting the game and the DLC... But if the DLC's prices are ridiculous, i'll be getting the game second hand. Then again, Case 0 was only five bucks. And it was fun as hell. THAT'S how you do DLC.

Sports Theme Pack + Beer Hat = Invincible Chuck

Now we all know how much Capcom charges for alternate costumes for Street Fighter 4, if that's any indication I say hit the deck or your wallet because I believe that these prices will be ridiculous. Of course no one is holding a gun to my head telling me to buy these, but then again I'd probably have a bullet wound in my head...

Hm... sports theme pack or ninja theme pack?

I got the sports theme pack when I bought it from Best Buy. The Ninja pack was when you bought the game at GameStop.

I'm in agreement with MyNameIsMyName. Still, this looks like fun.

Me thinks this was pre-order bonus content, but it was store based(the worst kind of pre-order bonuses) so now it's dlc. I suppose it'll be no more than $1-2 if anything.

    Is this paid for DLC?
