Capcom releases Resident Evil Revelations with massive box-art typo. Sheet Fighter X Tekken coming soon

So you're launching the most anticipated game for the latest and greatest handheld console from the kings of handheld consoles. It's nearly out. You're excited. You want to wallow in the glory and the adoration like a great big hype-hippo. What you absolutely do not want to do is to commit the game publishing equivalent of performing your band's triumphant first stadium gig with your fly unknowingly open and your cock hanging out for the duration.

Resident Evil Revelations? No, it's called Resident Evil: Revelaitons now. Seriously, the box art says so. Someone at Capcom - who has probably had their big clumsy fingers broken by the time of writing - has made a typo on the side panel of the box art, losing a bit of dignity for Capcom's key 3DS release thus far, but very probably giving the world a brand new meme to play with.

Next up for Capcom? Sheet Fighter X Tekken, Mega Mane 11 (about a cyborg lion) and President Weevil: Operation Raconteur Kitty (which I would genuinely pay for).

Capcom has pledged to fix the typo for future prints of the game, and will apparently offer a solution for owners of the erroneous box art. Personally I wouldn't bother 'fixing' my copy. The typo adds character, I reckon. How about you?

Capcom appears to be rather hasty when putting together boxart, but at least they still make great games, which is all that matters in the end.

Don't we all Remember Okami on Wii? This isn't the first time Capcom has screwed up with Nintendo.

Tell Towelly that if he gets a copy of this, with typo, THAT'S what he needs to save for eBay.

    "Viva la Revelaitons!"

RE: Revelaitions is about how Jill Valentine gets Revengence upon the Umbrellia Corperaition.

The typo could be worth some good money in the future.

Maybe the zombies are called Revelaitons now, so it's not a typo, everyone just had it wrong all this time.

Christ a lot of comments seem to be taking this a bit too seriously, whether from a "is this really newsworthy?" angle or the "seriously Capcom...SERIOUSLY?" collective or even "this article can't dictate memes!" line of thought. Newsworthy? Yes. At least for a gaming website. Major publisher blunders cover of anticipated release. Can't for the life of me see how any gamesite out there wouldn't see this as newsworthy. Plus it's Friday people - relax! As far as Capcom's lack of quality control surely meaning that the game itself is bound to be a bug ridden mess, we'll see but I doubt it. It's called a mistake happens to you, it happens to me, it happens to all of us so relax. I'm sure those responsible at Capcom are getting their asses handed to them right now but I prefer to think in terms of "meh, so long as the game itself is solid" rather than "OMG!!! The wheels are falling completely off the wagon!". As for the lone uptightedty comment about this article not being the proper channel to source a meme, fucking relax! I'm pretty sure David was just having fun with the remark, as he had fun with the entire article, as should we all.

And for the love of God people I'm sure the review is coming, so again...RELAX!
