Call of Duty: Black Ops Annihilation DLC goes live with extra undead

Shares

After spending a good six weeks teasing ‘Annihilation,’ the third map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops, Treyarch is finally ready to let players check out the mad collection of new maps for themselves. The pack's four new maps – together with one new Zombies arena – continue Treyarch's theme of injecting '60s weirdness into CoD via Black Ops, with sci-fi paranoia and Cuban mini-golfing joining previous DLC episodes' zombie-themed offerings. Here's a launch trailer highlighting Shangri-La, the new Zombies map.

In addition to Shangri-La, the pack includes maps set in Area 51, a drive-in theatre, Soviet missile silo and 18 Cuban links. The pack is available on Xbox Live Arcade for 1200 MSP or on the PlayStation Network, Steam and the Activision Store for $14.99.

To celebrate the pack's launch, Treyarch will be holding a Double XP Weekend from July 29-31. While the pack's not available on Wii, CoD players on Nintendo's console will still be eligible for double points while playing this weekend. Have you downloaded the pack yet?

@fkafl my thoughts exactly. Finally realized they forgot to say it is the PS3 release. Thank god for a double XP weekend, I prestige finally and regret it. I just want my lovely Commando back.

I am so freaking confused. I thought I was playing these maps for the past few weeks. Was that just a dream?

Need to wait for my cousin to get this. Then I get it from him. I love game sharing on PS3.
