it will be very interesting if they somehow connect watch dogs story with AC series and make the watch dogs protagonist a assassin since they both use high tech gadget and since its ovious that the ac story is slowly but surely heading to the modern age this combination will realy be great and they should add some horse race in AC

There is a lot of speculation about Watch Dogs originally being Desmond's present day game, from the first couple of AC games the modern day story with Desmond felt as though it was ramping up to Present Day Assassin's Creed where Desmond would be taking on modern Templars and whatnot. Then AC went the way they did with Desmond because there's way more money to be made on reliving the past... There are times when I would like to believe this...IDK

this series is seriously flawed from the beginning. its a assassin game yet they only realise now that they should add a crouch feature and the battle system its so easy to kill a batallion of soldier even though they said that they make ac4 combat much harder its still realy easy specialy after getting all the upgrade and this is the only game that i know that doesn't have a boss battle they should atleast made some templar boss that the main character can fight in not those easy to kill target and why every time a new AC comes out they take out some great feature of the previous game like the ability to buy every part of your armor or the ability to defend your camp in ac revelation and the ability to buy some structures in the city and earn money from it and the ac3 feature that enable you to build a small community and gain something from it afterwards. every AC release from 2 to 4 feels like there is something missing everytime

Some of us like both RPG style games with big boss fights and whatnot, as well as the Assassin's Creed style. I agree that they could stand to make it more difficult, however that's part of what's so appealing I believe. You can be this badass Assassin going around doing whatever you want, and the character is very trained so can obviously take down groups of generically trained guards. As for the key assassination's, I think you only need to look at real historical assassinations to see that it isn't that hard for one person to get close to someone important while putting their own life on the line to take that person out. Now days people wouldn't get away with that stuff but back then they could. Plus in all the old Assassin's Creed games you could take out your targets without ever alerting the guards most of time IIRC. The new added stealth mechanics sound awesome to me, and are a welcome change, along with the added difficulty.

How about an assassins creed set at the fall of the roman empire at the late 4th-early 5th century because the Templars had influenced the Romans and the fall of the Romans could have had lots of tie ins with the assassins and the player could be from Visigoth or Vandal groups that were attacking at the time. or maybe be part of the Huns even.

This article is everything you know plus 8 slides of crap you're making up basically. Also, this game really needs infinitely replayable side activities.

will it have a modern day story?
  • leonardosky - June 20, 2014 1:11 p.m.

of-course considering that the animus is being used in the modern days

Better be a good one, at least better than AC4's crappy modern day story. Faceless protagonist is a BS gimmick imo, although it had it's compelling moments.
  • N7Spartan95 - July 29, 2014 10:32 a.m.

Yeah, the modern day stuff in AC4 wasn't very interesting; like with the Assassin-Templar conflict itself, Ubisoft just kind of pushed it to the side so they could focus on all the pirate stuff. Granted, said pirate stuff was fucking fantastic and the whole reason I got the game in the first place, so it works out brilliantly for someone like me who just wants to be a pirate. For those more interested in AC lore and the modern day plot however, I can understand if it was disappointing.

Some people think that there might be a game with the codename Comet which will follow Adewales grandson. Desmond, Altair and Ezio had a scar by the mouth but Connor didnt. Haytham and Edward didnt either but when i was playing Assassins creed Freedom Cry i noticed that Adewale had the same scar. It could mean that Unity has barely anyting to do with the timeline and that Comet is really the big thing but it is just a theory.
  • gamertaboo - June 26, 2014 1:51 p.m.

I'm beginning to think that this AC:Comet game is going to be a transitioning game from the Assassin's Creed world into this Pirate World that Ubisoft wants to create. They want to have a Full fledged pirate game because of how many people loved only the pirate/sailing aspect of AC4. So personally I think the Comet game is going to be partly about Assassin's Creed, then tie that Adawale/Kenway story up and turn into a pirate thing... Just my opinion.

Has anyone wondered why two seperate games will be there, beside the "old-gen, new-gen consoles"? Now I have to have 360 and Xbox One? Thanks A lot, Ubisoft!

Why is everyone hating? So what if its the same gameplay. Don't buy it then. It's not like any other game innovates an anything these days. GTA V is same old same old too. I for one am really looking forward to something set in Europe again. I was disappointed with 3 and only managed to be interested in 4 about half way through since the story was so unengaging. But I can't wait to save Joan of Arc and fight against the Inquisition... Although it looks like this setting is after that stuff. I don't care if they go back and forth in history. If like to do done Egyptian theme sometime and Feudal Japan might be interesting although you'd have to get an entire martial arts fighting engine going for that... I'm excited. LIBERTE - EGALITE - BRUTALITE!

I finished with the Assassin's Creed seriesabout halfway through Brotherhood because it just felt so repetitive and boring. AC2 is a great game, but apart from the cool looking piratey bits in Black Flag it doesn't seem to have moved on in terms of gameplay, and aside from a new setting and graphics overhaul I really can't see what this latest one could do to bring something new, rather than just the same climbing up cathedrals and hiding in crowds that's already been done to death.
  • CitizenWolfie - March 22, 2014 10:23 a.m.

If that's actual in game graphics then I'm amazed. I love the prospect of the new era and at least the hood looks like it belongs there (one of my little gripes about 3 & 4). I love Paris anyway but the idea of climbing the face if Notre Dame, assassinations in the middle of huge crowds and exploring the catacombs for Templar loot sound awesome to me!

Watch the Assassin's Creed V trailer from Mega64. That's all I have to say about this game.
