The Decapitated Warden 

A headless body dissolving in a vat of acid makes for a nice change in this string of investigations. There are a total of 6 locations to get through, so let's get started.

Location #1 - Tannery

Clue #1 - Dissolving Corpse

Approach the tub to find the body and reveal a secondary location.

Clue #2 - Statement of Tannery Owner

Speak to Citizen Gilbert to add his statement to your case file.

Clue #3 - Short Sword

The sword is on a ledge above the tub of acid and will open up another location.

Clue #4 - Statement of Mathieu Rochon

This chap can be found lurking near a window overlooking the spot where you found the body.

Location #2 - Jewellery Shop

Clue #1 - Statement of the Jewellery Shop Owner

Speak to Citizen Touchet who will give you another address to visit.

Location #3 - Blacksmith Shop

Clue #1 - Statement of the Blacksmith

The blacksmith will add another address onto the pile.

Location #4 - Warden's House

Clue #1 - Statement of Julien Lamond

Talk to Julien to add his statement to the case file.

Clue #2 - Statement of Madame Camille

Speak to Camille to gather her statement.

Clue #3 - Letter

The love letter is strewn on the floor, because apparently no one can bend down to pick things up in this world.

Clue #4 - Letter from Warder Leroux

A letter from one of the few men in the city who could be bothered to organise his paperwork on somewhere other than the floor. He will be missed.

Clue #5 - Statement of Genevieve Cerne

This lady is in a house across the way from the Warden's and will furnish you with another location.

Clue #6 - Statement of Minette Rosier

Minette is on the balcony of the house next door.

Location #5 - Tavern

Clue #1 - Statement of the Barkeep

This guy is all too happy to flap his gums and direct you to the gang leader upstairs.

Clue #2 - Statement of Danton Marotte

Try not to feel too intimidated when getting this fellow's statement.

Location #6 - Prison

Clue #1 - Statement of the Deputy Warden

Speak to Hugo to add his statement to the file.

Clue #2 - Head on a Pike

And so we've located the Warden's missing head. His tiny, tiny head.

Whodunnit?

If you were paying attention to the statements, you'll have noticed that Hugo stitched himself up with his, and is of course, the culprit.

If you don't feel inclined to run around town talking to NPCs, head straight to the prison to confront the deputy.
