If he does get kicked off, I reckon he's going to become a (in-game) Giovanni-like gym leader, with good type coverage and a past that no-one knows about. Then totally destroys the new protaganists if they want his badge. Than shows he's still cool and gives them a badge anyway.

Thanks for pulling that to my attention! Also, EVERYONE NEEDS TO READ THAT ASH KETCHUM IN A COMA ARTICLE!!!! That is probably the most sophisticated outlook on pokemon ever. I mean dang, I almost freakin Cried!!!

he will wake up from a coma and realise it was all a dream and that hes a 40 year old dude

The anime has no effect on the games. The anime will change if the games do, not the other way around. And ever since they changed the voice actors the show has sucked. Getting rid of Ash and Brock will just serve to make the anime even more irrelevant.

@loonyman: Dawn is the hottest, silly!
  • masterj2k11 - April 17, 2010 5:57 p.m.

He is gonna hang himself when he finds out that he can't catch em all and finds out that it is all a ploy to keep him hooked in the pokemon catching. Cus we all know no matter if you catch em all there is just gunna be more. Its like god damn heroin except you can level it up.
  • Mitchy13LAMF - April 17, 2010 4:13 p.m.

thats impossible...there wouldnt be a reason to watch cant end just like that...hes suppose to achieve his goal and become the pokemon master...just look what happen to the other pokemon show wasnt a imagine the show withoutan ash and pikachu????
  • mgkyo666 - April 17, 2010 6:26 a.m.

Ash will most likely settle down and become a Gym Leader, or better yet, he may become one of the Elite Four, seeing as he has beaten almost every opponent he has met. Brock may actually find a girl who ACCEPTS his advances for once, or go back to running his gym. As you can see, I grew up watching the anime as a kid, and still name my character Ash in the games. Now, excuse me, I need to go grieve...

no Ash? WAIT WTF?! First you kill off Misty now Ash? NO!!!! Where will we be without Ash, that damn Pikachu, and the hats?! We need the hats....although then again i havent watched the show since they went to Johto and ended that series
  • tomasfr89 - April 17, 2010 3:11 a.m.

The presumption this articlo makes it's excatly the same as the ending of captain tsubasa, where he is in coma dreaming becoming champ of the world after he is struck by a truck as kid in the first episode. Here it's exactly the same thing, Ash getting hit by a lightning then dreaming about being a champion while in coma an then dies.
  • gamingfreak - April 17, 2010 1:42 a.m.

It would be nice if they made everyone older and made Ash NOT forget everything he's learned when he gets to a new region.
  • Mexiflan - April 17, 2010 12:22 a.m.

Ash is an idiot. He doesn't know how to train his pokemons, and STILL he manages to do some really crazy imposible shit. (Flying golden uber powerful pikachu-swellow fusion thingy, anyone?)
  • Cyberninja - April 17, 2010 12:17 a.m.

well thank god this isnt real but i think if they did end it they should use the coma thing
  • GameManiac - April 17, 2010 12:04 a.m.

Did I say shockwave? let me rephraise my first sentence. Damn...5th gen is a scenery-changing nuke.
  • crimson_soulreaper305 - April 17, 2010 12:01 a.m.

@felix: thank jebus. i hated Diamond/Pearl. @willistron: they sound different cuz Ash left home almost 4-5 years ago in pokemans time (or was it 3, not sure. he was 10 when he left Pallet Town.) hes 14, Brock's 16, and Misty should be 15.
  • GameManiac - April 17, 2010 midnight

Damn...5th gen is landing with a shockwave. I've practically watched every available episode that came my way. This is both shocking and exciting to me. The nostalgia will be sadly missed, but the new will be accepted. It's kind of like when the original Yu-Gi-Oh! finished, but this has taken years to happen. I only hope for two things from the future anime: Ash Ketchum easter eggs and for a dubbing improvement.
  • crimson_soulreaper305 - April 16, 2010 11:56 p.m.

there goes one of the last greatest animes in america... did you guys how the lineup in 97'- 2004 was straight anime from pokemon to YuYu Hakusho to Sailor Moon to Gundam to Yu-Gi-Oh! and so forth. now there isn't any except the ones on Adult Swim but most are reruns except the for new Bleach releases, the last new anime to appear was Death, the ones on Sci-Fi. (No i will NOT call it "SyFy"!)
  • sleepy92ismypsn - April 16, 2010 11:40 p.m.
