You know games are taking over your life when... you're watching real-life sport on TV and shouting button commands at the players

We all like playing sports games, but if you watch the real-life equivalent on telly and assess the play as though you're interacting with the game, you need to say to yourself - preferably in a sinister robotic voice for extra dramatic effect - "Games are taking over my life!"

You might think that instinctively twitching your fingers as players pass the ball, or reciting the button presses required to execute the next perfect play is a harmless enough form of covert real-life gaming. But before you know it you'll be down the boozer shouting "Press SQUARE!" at the screen like a complete mentalist. We know because we do it with alarming regularity.

I don't have the energy to really hate anything properly. Most things I think are OK or inoffensively average. I do love quite a lot of stuff as well, though.
