The first trailer for the Wachowskis' new sci-fi opus Jupiter Ascending is here.
And it's as visually arresting and fantastical as we've come to expect from the minds behind The Matrix and Cloud Atlas .
Jupiter Ascending tells the tale of Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis), who was born to portentous, destiny-filled signs. Fast-forward to when she's a grown woman, however, and she's stuck cleaning toilets and being on the bad-end of a never-ending run of bad luck. That all changes when she meets Caine (Channing Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-military hunter who arrives on Earth to track her down and informs her she's the next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos.
With a star-studded cast, and a trailer that focuses heavily on the chemistry of its two main leads Kunis and Tatum, we're definitely on board.
Have a watch of the trailer, and then let us know what you think in the comments below.
Jupiter Ascending is set for a July 2014 release.
