X of Swords: Creation #1 artist Pepe Larraz and colorist David Curiel have joined forces to create a piece of key art showing the two factions at play in the upcoming 'X of Swords' 24-part line-wide X-Men crossover – the ten mutants who will wield swords of power from around the Marvel Universe against the mysterious Swordbearers of Arakko in a conflict that will put the whole world at stake.

"This fateful clash and many others are what await readers in this crossover epic written by Jonathan Hickman, Tini Howard, and all the current writers of your favorite X-Men titles. 'X of Swords' kicks off in December with a pair of 'prelude' issues in X-Men #12 and Excalibur #12. Larraz will draw the one-shots X of Swords: Creation #1, X of Swords: Stasis #1, and X of Swords: Destruction #1.
