Here's why Avengers: Infinity War won't overuse the Guardians of the Galaxy (according to Chris Pratt)

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is dominating the Marvel landscape right now, but Avengers: Infinity War – starring those very same Guardians – isn’t far away. Unfortunately, if you were hoping for an extended helping of Star-Lord and the rest of the loveable misfits that make up the galaxy’s protectors then you may be left disappointed. Say it ain’t so!

We know that Guardians are definitely in Marvel’s all-star third Avengers movie but Chris Pratt has confirmed that Groot and the gang won’t be top billing, acting as a foil for the Avengers rather than outright dominating it, as Pratt explains to Nerdist, “Guardians of the Galaxy 2 was a Guardians movie. Infinity War is an Avengers movie.”

Pratt goes on to say that the Guardians will still be an important part of the movie, but just easing up on any speculation that the Guardians are taking over: “We definitely will have a strong presence, but we are playing supporting cast - you know what I mean? We’re there to help them tell an awesome Infinity War story.”

There you have it. The Guardians of the Galaxy will be in Avengers: Infinity War – just don’t go expecting Groot in every scene, even though you’d have no complaints from me.
