Gameloft working on four Unreal Engine-powered mobile games

Gameloft is one of the few companies that actually found success in mobile games before the recent boom. And, thanks to download platforms like WiiWare and the PlayStation Store, it has blossomed into a big-time publisher.

The publisher has earned much of its acclaim for releasing high-profile titles like Assassin's Creed, Brothers in Arms, and licensed sports games to portable platforms, but it also has some hits of its own including Brain Challenge, Gangstar, and American Popstar.

By using Unreal Engine, the limits are pushed beyond any previous Gameloft title, and the publisher is clearly excited about getting its hands dirty with the new development tool. Unfortunately, neither Gameloft nor Epic Games will say what four titles are in the works, but we do know that two are coming out this year, with two more coming in 2012.
