Guillermo del Toro’s sci-fi spectacular Pacific Rim introduces giant robots (Jaegers) designed to fight the biggest threat the planet has ever faced: Kaiju.

Not up on your Kaiju? Then the featurette we’ve got below - introduced by star Charlie Day - will bring you immediately up to speed.

Featuring some incredible footage of the Kaiju going head-to-head with the Jaegers, the video also features some incredible production art, with an explanation as to how the final beasts were chosen.

Plus, del Toro, Charlie Hunnam, Rinko Kikuchi and Idris Elba are on hand to talk you through the alien nasties.
