Iain Wilson

After a varied career that includes providing security for students' union event nights, technical support for conferences, and financial accounting for a quango, Iain joined Future in 2012 following a short stint as a freelancer to write guides for CVG, PSM3, and Xbox World, before moving on to join GamesRadar in 2013 as Guides Editor. He has a tenacious attitude to hunting down collectibles in games, continuing his searches long after others would have given up trying to find that last elusive trinket, and knows how best to present this information to help others on their own hidden item quests. Iain is GamesRadar's resident Fortnite expert, having sunk thousands of hours into the battle royale and penned more than 500 guides on the subject, with well over 100 Victory Royales under his belt including a number of coveted Crowned Victory Royales. His words have also appeared in OPM, OXM, PC Gamer, GamesMaster, and SFX, covering tips, walkthroughs, features, and reviews. He is better known to many as ‘Mr Trophy’, due to his slightly unhealthy obsession with amassing intangible PlayStation silverware, and thanks to a raft of questionably basic PS4 releases he now has well over 900 Platinum pots weighing down the shelves of his virtual award cabinet. He does not care for Xbox Achievements. When not writing about video games, you'll find Iain refereeing roller derby matches on skates, Run Directing his local Parkrun, running half marathons to fundraise for charities, or volunteering in the community.
