The Wolverine has added another poster to the classy collection of one-sheets that have already been released.
In the new international poster, fittingly adorned with Japanese script (or at least we think that’s Japanese, correct us in the comments if it’s not), Wolverine ups his already considerable blade count by wielding a katana.
Holding the samurai sword in the classic ‘right down the middle of the face’ pose, Jackman looks as steely and intense as ever, and there’s a fair bit of blood slopping off the blade.
The monochrome colourings of the two sides of the poster offer an unsubtle but still very pretty hint at Logan’s man/beast duality, and the past that’ll inevitably come back to haunt him.
If there’s a bum note, it’s that his adamantium claws look a little on the photoshopped side. But, with Jackman’s lust/envy-inducing physique ripped to breaking point, it’s unlikely eyes will be lingering there for too long.
Check out the poster in full below:
The Wolverine opens in the UK on 26 July 2013.
