Bees are disappearing globally, victims of an apiary holocaust that spells disaster for mankind.

Not due to honey drought, but because our food supply relies on the stripy drones to pollinate and act as ecological ‘canaries down the mine’.

Though interviews with beekeepers, scientists and concerned activists paint an interesting story of corporate skulduggery, George Langworthy and Maryam Henein’s nature doc offers little to surprise any newspaper reader or those who saw the BBC special on the subject earlier this year.

Well-intentioned but lacking filmic zip, it’d fly better on the box.
