The Expendables 2 gets a cool new poster

The Expendables 2 has released an awesome new banner poster, in which the film's collection of grizzled warhorses appear together in one profoundly kick-ass lineup.

"Back for war" screams the tagline, and indeed the boys certainly look ready for action, clinging on to their arsenal of heavy weaponry for dear life. Only Sly Stallone's pair of pistols look relatively puny, although perhaps that's because he has the least to compensate for…

The new film sees Stallone's gang reconvene for another life-threatening mission when Bruce Willis' mysterious Mr. Church calls in a long-standing favour. Naturally, its an assignment that's going to require a hell of a lot of ammo…

Jean-Claude Van Damme will play the film's big bad, a knife-fetishising nut-case in possession of enough plutonium to render the United States a mere grease-spot on the face of the Earth. Exactly what he plans to do with it remains unclear at this point, but it seems a safe bet it'll be nothing good.
