The tiny Squirtle grows a pair of fangs to become Wartortle, a formidable foe said to live 10,000 years. We're not sure how such information came into being, but hey, that's what the game says. Wartortle does have the highest defense of all the second-stage starters, so less aggressive players might decide to take this route. As with all middle starters, this is more of a pit stop on the way to a superstar Pokemon, so let's move along, shall we?
