Star Wars Battlefront 2 might make the prequels cool again, check out teasers for the full E3 reveal

Unlike its predecessor, Star Wars Battlefront 2 (opens in new tab) will explore more than just the original trilogy era of Star Wars history. That's right, in addition to the original and new trilogy timelines, we're going back to the prequel era - Separatist battle droids and all. We got the teensiest tease of this with the initial reveal trailer, but it looks like the prequel trilogy will be a major focus for Battlefront 2 at E3.

Along with the tweet you see above, the official Star Wars channel has promised a new gameplay trailer for Battlefront 2 as part of the EA Play event going down Saturday, June 10 at noon Pacific / 8pm BST. In addition to the trailer, EA will host a live session of a 20v20 match set in the Naboo capital city of Theed.
