Welcome to Seoul!

Welcome to Seoul!

If you decide to side with Dragon, you'll be kidnapped, tossed out of a moving van, and dumped onto the streets of Seoul. Sounds good doesn't it? Dragon does offer something that the other factions do not, a chance to wander the narrow streets of Seoul and follow a creepy child in a raincoat. We don't make this stuff up, we're just telling you what we saw in the demo.

The weather may not be great, but if you want to get away from busy cities and towering buildings, this is the place to be.

Tokyo Flashback

Tokyo Flashback

Each time we started a new game, we were thrown into this flashback. It gave us a chance to test out the controls, but what does this flashback really mean? What's going on? Why is my name Sarah?

Solomon Island

Solomon Island

One of the first real missions you'll receive, regardless of faction, is to find out what exactly is going on in the small town of Kingsmouth on Solomon Island. Warning: there will be zombies.

Don't come any closer!

You should probably be looking for some protective gear at this point.

Ability Wheel

Ability Wheel

Instead of leveling, you get this. That's right, an ability wheel for you to choose what kind of skills you want to learn. None of this, level up stuff anymore. You can equip up to 7 active and 7 passive abilities, and some tie in with one another, giving yourself that extra boost so choose carefully!

We also got a quick look at the crafting/transcribing system in The Secret World. While we don't have anything to show you at this point, we do know that you'll be able to break down items and reassemble them into something useful. Stats are based on the types of material you use, and you need enough materials to fill out the shape of the item you want to make. For example, to create a hammer, you need to lay out the materials in the shape of a hammer.

We hope to have more details in the near future. The Secret World will be released June 19 on the PC.
