People are catching Ditto in Pokemon Go [Deep breath]
Okay, here we go. Twitter's exploded with reports that people are catching pokemon in Pokemon Go that are turning into Ditto.
I wasn't convinced at first because so many images seem to show the exact same pose. Take a look at these:
Ohhh my God @PokemonGoApp a Rattata I just caught turned into a DITTO!! pic.twitter.com/r5sWuamAiJNovember 23, 2016
@trnrtips caught ditto diguised as a pidgey pic.twitter.com/KRd0KItOc6November 23, 2016
@clrchronicles KIM. CATCH EVERYTHING. I JUST CAUGHT DITTO. IT'S OUT. pic.twitter.com/wxj1MNxfUNNovember 23, 2016
However. Since then a few more images have appeared that definitely seem to show some different angles, and even the transition after you catch it.
If you catch a ditto you'll apparently get the egg-hatching 'Oh?' instead of 'Gotcha!'.

Omg. DITTO. #PokemonGO #ditto ITS HAPPENING pic.twitter.com/6xashk7yIVNovember 23, 2016
@PokemonGoApp Surprised! Catches a pidgey but I transformed into Ditto! pic.twitter.com/pnz35dxPGHNovember 23, 2016
And then there's this video, which seems pretty conclusive:

Right now Twitter is full of people all reporting the same thing, so if it's fake then that's a lot of people with good photoshop skills all working together at once. Best get out there and start catching.
