A gruesome new trailer and a batch of action shots have surfaced for The Darkness, the comic book inspired, next-gen shooter that spices up the blasting with an array of savage demonic powers.
If you're squeamish, we suggest you don't hit that Movies tab above to see the footage, which features cursed hero Jackie Estacado unleashing his dark skills against a gang of mobsters.
The new screens on the Images tab give you a glimpse of the demon minions you can summon from the shadows to torment your enemies. The vicious little critters swarm towards any human life armed with mini-guns, spikes, power-drills or lots of other randomized weaponry.
The Darkness and its fresh take on shootouts - you can even mutate and grow two powerful tentacles that can lift cars - promises an eye-opening dose of action when it's released on Xbox 360 and PS3 early next year.
