Paramount nab Faris comedy

Those clever suits at Paramount have given the thumbs-up to an untitled comedy that came from an idea by Scary Movie star Anna Faris.

Faris roped in Legally Blonde key-tappers Karen McCullah Lutz and Kirsten Smith to write the as-yet untitled gag-fest about a former centrefold who gets kicked out of her job and ends up as a house mother at a UCLA sorority full of losers.

Faris and the scribblers have also signed on to executive produce, along with Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison firm.

Shooting is slated to begin next year and if you ask us, it sounds a little like Old School, with ladies.
