Electronic Arts' new instalment of Need For Speed, the cops-'n'-customisers racer Most Wanted, is the new favourite for being the Christmas number one.
According to Ladbrokes, Most Wanted has knocked off the top spot.
Indeed, such has been the enthusiasm for NFS, the betting shop is only offering even odds for it now. Narnia, now down to fourth, is currently 6/1, as are King Kong and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, which are in second and third places respectively.
Meanwhile, Microsoft's big 360 driving hope Project Gotham Racing 3 languishes down at 16th, with odds of 33/1.
Gotham has big potential returns, but with - and an unspecified number of them either in flames, hanging from string or in the post between eBay customers - it's surprisingly risky too. Meanwhile, the chances of gamesradar.com fully understanding betting any time soon are 100/1 x 9.
