Miis help recover stolen Wii

Add fighting crime to the list of nearly innumerable things a Mii can do because the avatars created by a family in Jacksonville, Florida, helped police to recover a stolen Wii. The list should now read like this: bowl, golf, change hats, and fight crime.

The family's home was broken into in late May. The day after the burglary, Latrina Shepard pawned a 19-inch TV to a Cash America Pawn on Beach Boulevard. Two days after the break-in, police say Shepard pawned a Nintendo Wii system to a Cash America Pawn on Atlantic Bouelevard.

Using the TV's serial number, police were able to quickly identify the first stolen device, and while they didn't have a serial number for the Wii, they found several Miis that resembled members of the family whose home had been broken into — including the family dog.
